We are an integrated Digital Lab within BC Children’s Hospital and the UBC  Department of Pediatrics. Our mission is to improve the lives of children and families through innovation and technology in healthcare. Discover & Ideate

Finding a solution begins with identifying the problem. In the initial phase of every project, we explore problems in depth to gain a solid understanding of where we can make the greatest impact. We then scrutinize ideas and through an iterative process until we have a collective consensus on a viable solution to take through to the next stage.

Design & Develop

Our team consists of people from a variety of backgrounds, including business, medicine, computer and data science, creative design, operations research, and web development. Our unique combination of skill-sets and key partnerships enables us to effectively and efficiently develop ideas into tangible solutions.

Implement & Evaluate

Launching a solutions is only half the work. We work with our partners to develop robust evaluation plans to assess the impact of our work. In many cases, we aim to conduct formal research on our solutions and evaluate opportunities for scaling to a broader audience.
